I’m Tania Farries, founder of Clearline Event Strategy. For more than 20 years, I’ve been the person behind the plan when the stakes are high, the details are multiplying, and everything still has to work.

My career began in Washington hospitality and grew to include Presidential Inaugural Balls, association meetings, medical education, global corporate programs, live productions, and venue operations. I have worked in ballrooms, theaters, operating rooms, convention centers, and virtual environments, but the challenge is always the same: turning hundreds of moving parts into one clear, executable plan.

I see the gaps, pressure points, and dependencies that can derail an event. Then I bring the people, timelines, partners, and decisions into alignment before they do.

That is what I bring to Clearline: senior-level strategy, practical operational leadership, and the judgment to make complicated events work.

About

My career has never fit neatly into one box.

I began my career in Washington, DC, creating experiences for dignitaries, celebrities, C-suite leaders, and international guests. The work included Presidential Inaugural Balls and the inaugural launch of Amtrak’s Acela service.

That experience taught me early that a successful event is not simply a beautiful room. It is a carefully coordinated operation, one where protocol, security, transportation, timing, hospitality, and guest experience all have to work together seamlessly.

ASSOCIATION + MEDICAL PROGRAMS

From ballrooms to operating rooms

After beginning as catering director at a premier restaurant in Washington, DC’s Union Station, I moved into association and global event leadership, planning board and committee meetings, trade shows, and an average of 20+ programs annually for AbbVie and two leading medical associations. Programs included hands-on and cadaver labs, live surgery, scientific sessions, exhibits, and specialized technical production worldwide.
